Many of the performances are free.

The Essentially Ellington Regional High School Jazz Festival, offered in conjunction with Jazz at Lincoln Center, will bring in high school bands from North Carolina and beyond to the Frank Porter Graham Student Union on Feb. 20 for a day of performances and clinics.

University of Kansas jazz historian Sherrie Tucker will give a free lecture, “Not the Whole Story(ville): Learning from New Orleans Jazzwomen,” at 2 p.m. on Feb. 22 in Kenan Music Building, room 1201.
