The Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs will host the first Carolina Conversations event of the semester Feb. 23 at 4:30 p.m.
Titled “First Amendment Protected Speech,” the 90-minute event will be held at the Student Union’s Aquarium Lounge. The discussion — moderated by Interim Chief Diversity Officer Rumay Alexander — will focus on First Amendment rights.
Vice Chancellor and General Counsel Mark Merritt will provide an overview of how the legal system and the University address the right to free speech.
All students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.
