Led by the Carolina Latinx Collaborative and the University Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will celebrate Latinx Heritage Month from Sept. 19 to Oct. 14. 

Latinx Heritage Month commemorates the contributions made by Latina/o Americans to the United States and celebrates Latinix heritage and culture. Carolina’s celebration will feature discussions, films, festivities including Carnaval, and presentations hosted by various campus groups. 

The Latinx Heritage Month keynote speaker is Rosa Clemente, a former Green Party vice president candidate, Afro-Latinx community organizer and independent journalist. Clemente will speak at 5 p.m. on Sept. 20 in the Great Hall.
