The Ackland Art Museum store will be relocating to a new downtown Chapel Hill space this January. The store will move from its current location, at the corner of Franklin Street and Columbia Street, to 109 E. Franklin St., Suite 101, next to FRANK Gallery.

“While we will miss our corner space, we are energized to start the new year in a new downtown home that is still close to the Ackland Art Museum,” said Alice Southwick, store manager. “We’re moving only steps away from our current space, and are confident that our customers will follow us there and love our new store.”

The Ackland Museum Store will close at its current location after Jan. 10, 2016, and will reopen for business at its new location on Jan. 21, 2016.

“With our store’s new location right next door to FRANK Gallery on Franklin Street, there will be an even firmer nexus of arts venues in downtown Chapel Hill,” said Ackland Art Museum interim director and chief curator Peter Nisbet. “An increase in the amount of wall display space at the Store opens up exciting possibilities.”

All proceeds from the Ackland Museum Store support the Ackland Art Museum’s exhibition and education programs.
