Media invited to cover celebration of UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy

ranking as No. 1 in the nation

 

A premiere location and its longstanding strategic investments help propel pharmacy school to best in the nation

 

(Chapel Hill, N.C., Mar. 29, 2016) – Media is invited to join the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy for a celebration of its No. 1 ranking by U.S. News & World Report, underscoring the school’s longstanding strategic investments in state reach, innovation in education and capitalization of its spot within a premiere health affairs campus at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

 

Chancellor Carol L. Folt will host the event and will be joined by Dean Bob Blouin and Fred Eshelman for remarks. Dr. Eshelman’s historic $100 million gift in 2014 – the largest in the University’s history and for any pharmacy school – helped put a national spotlight on the school’s longstanding achievements. Light refreshments will be served after the event, during which Chancellor Folt, Dean Blouin and Dr. Eshelman will be available for interviews.

Media Parking: A limited number of spaces will be available for media in the Beard Lot, whose entrance in on McCauley Street. Contact Thania Benios (thania_benios@unc.edu) by 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Mar. 30 to reserve parking.
