UNC School of Nursing to host Ebola Town Hall Nov. 17
Faculty will share experience taking care of patients in Africa and discuss how fear can influence reactions to Ebola
(Chapel Hill, N.C. – Nov. 17, 2014) – The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing will host a town hall discussion for UNC Health Affairs students, faculty, alumni and interested community partners Nov. 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event will be held in room G200 in the Genome Science Building on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus.
The evening will include presentations from UNC-Chapel Hill experts on caring for Ebola patients in Africa, simulations being used to train health care providers, a brief on proactive actions being taken by UNC Health Care and a reflection on how fear can influence reactions to Ebola. At least one half hour will be dedicated to taking questions and comments from the audience.
