Garden & Gun CEO to give Nov. 14 talk at UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication

 

The talk is a part of the school’s Homecoming weekend festivities

 

(Chapel Hill, N.C. – Nov. 5, 2014) – Rebecca Wesson Darwin, founder and CEO of Garden & Gun, will give a talk as part of the UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication’s Homecoming weekend festivities on Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. on the UNC campus.

 

The editor of Raleigh’s WALTER magazine, Liza Roberts, and School of Journalism and Mass Communication faculty member Dana McMahan, will join Darwin in discussion.

 

Darwin is a UNC-Chapel Hill alumna. Her career has spanned the media and magazine realm with stents at GQ, The New Yorker, Mirabella, and Fortune. Darwin launched Garden & Gun in 2007, later being named the No. 2 hottest launch of over 700 magazines. In 2011, Garden & Gun won a National Magazine Award in General Excellence from the American Society of Magazine Editors and was named to Advertising Age’s Magazine A-List
