Dorrance Dance coming to Memorial Hall, Sept. 25-26
Features NY tap dance dynamo Michelle Dorrance, daughter of UNC women’s soccer head coach Anson Dorrance
(Chapel Hill, N.C. – Sept. 22, 2014) – Dorrance Dance tap ensemble, created by Chapel Hill native Michelle Dorrance, will perform two nights at Memorial Hall as part of the Carolina Performing Arts 2014-2015 season.
The Bessie Award-winning company features some of today’s best tap artists, including “The Blues Project” co-choreographers Derick K. Grant and Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards. The performances will feature Toshi Reagon and her band BIGLovely performing her original blues music.
The Thursday, Sept. 25, show begins at 7:30 p.m., and the Friday, Sept. 26, show begins at 8 p.m.
Single and student tickets start at $10.
