With five business courses, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is the lead contributor to the 19 courses offered by Semester Online for Spring 2014. 

Semester Online, in partnership with 2U, offers these for-credit college classes through a consortium that includes Carolina, Boston College, the University of Notre Dame as well as Brandeis, Emory, Northwestern, Wake Forest and Washington universities.

Carolina, which contributed three of the company’s nine new courses, is offering these classes:
•    Introductory finance
•    Marketing: core concepts and tools
•    Strategic management
•    Financial accounting and reporting
•    Leading and managing: an introduction to organizational behavior

Semester Online is accepting applications for students in good academic standing and currently enrolled at four-year, regionally accredited institutions. Students can apply at http://semesteronline.org/ before the Dec. 23 deadline.
