Bill Cowher, former head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, will be the special guest speaker at the 2013 Roy Williams’ Fast Break Against Cancer fundraiser Oct. 25 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Tickets ($100) and table sponsorships ($1,500) are on sale now for the breakfast and live auction featuring UNC men’s basketball Coach Williams; former voice of the Tar Heels, Woody Durham; and other members of the Carolina basketball family. All proceeds from the event will go toward cancer research, prevention and treatment at UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, the event’s sponsor.
Tables for the event will be set up on the basketball court of the Dean E. Smith Center, on Bowles Drive. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for the 8 a.m. fundraiser, presented by Atlantic Packaging.
