The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill today (Jan. 25) released additional information as part of an addendum to the independent academic review conducted by former N.C. Gov. James Martin with assistance from Baker Tilly, a management consulting firm.

Martin provides comments accompanied by data produced by Baker Tilly in the addendum, which appears with the original report in a new posting on the University’s Academic Review website, http://uncnews.unc.edu/content/view/6103/68/.

Martin and Baker Tilly previously presented two reports to the University’s Board of Trustees on Dec. 20. (See http://www.unc.edu/campus-updates/independent-reviews/.)

The academic review was commissioned by Chancellor Holden Thorp. Thorp asked Martin and Baker Tilly, which has extensive experience in academic operations procedures and controls, to explore any and all issues as they saw fit, with no restrictions. The University cooperated fully.
