Journalists covering the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Charlotte are invited to attend a Sept. 2 brunch and roundtable discussion featuring data and analysis of trends and issues influencing Southern politics and the future of the region.

Journalists covering the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Charlotte are invited to attend a Sept. 2 brunch and roundtable discussion featuring data and analysis of trends and issues influencing Southern politics and the future of the region.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Journalism and Mass Communication sponsors this free event, with the Charlotte Observer as host.  "The South and Presidential Politics 2012: Red States and Purple States " features scholars and commentators from the University along with special guests Judy Woodruff from PBS NewsHour and Scott Keeter from the Pew Research Center.
