Imam Abdullah Antepli, the Muslim chaplain at Duke University, will deliver the 2012 Undergraduate Baccalaureate keynote address on inspiration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Baccalaureate program will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday (May 12) in the Great Hall of the Student Union.
Imam Abdullah Antepli, the Muslim chaplain at Duke University, will deliver the 2012 Undergraduate Baccalaureate keynote address on inspiration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Baccalaureate program will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday (May 12) in the Great Hall of the Student Union.
Antepli is one of the few fulltime Muslim chaplains at U.S. colleges and universities. As part of this work, he serves as a faculty member in the Divinity School and at the Duke Islamic Studies Center, teaching a variety of courses on Islam.
The Undergraduate Baccalaureate program is an interfaith service for graduating seniors and their families. The service is organized by the Campus Ministers’ Association of UNC-Chapel Hill in cooperation with the Division of Student Affairs. Chancellor Holden Thorp, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Winston Crisp, students and members of the Campus Ministers' Association will also offer remarks.
