Seeds planted for aerotropolis around Denver International Airport
The Denver Post (Colorado)

…An aerotropolis is a new urban design that places cities around a central airport rather than the old model of banishing airports to the town's edge. These airport-anchored communities created to serve the global marketplace have "all the features of a modern metropolitan city, with offices, hotels and exhibition halls," said John Kasarda, the nation's foremost aerotropolis evangelist. …"It is a blank canvas," said Kasarda, a University of North Carolina professor and co-author of the book, "Aerotropolis: The Way We'll Live Next."
