Tom Blanton, director of the National Security Archive, will speak on “The Secrecy Hangover” on Sept. 24 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The talk, at 2 p.m. in the film auditorium of the Frank Porter Graham Student Union, will be this year’s Lucile Kelling Henderson Lecture hosted by the School of Information and Library Science.

Blanton will discuss issues of government secrecy and the challenges facing the Obama administration concerning transparency. A reception will follow the talk. After the reception, the film “Secrecy” will be shown.
