UNC English professor Tom Stumpf will boomingly read the Dr. Seuss classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” on Wednesday (Dec. 5), alternating passages with co-reader George Morgan, who will read in Latin.

The 10th annual reading at UNC’s Bull’s Head Bookshop will be free to the public at 4 p.m. Morgan, of the shop staff, will contribute the Latin lines mirroring Stumpf’s English.

“You haven’t heard ‘The Grinch’ until you’ve heard it from Tom,” said Kyle McKay of the shop. “Be sure to get here on time or earlier, as it is sure to fill up. There will be free fresh-baked cookies, hot chocolate and cider for all to feast on.”
