Friday (Oct. 26) is the deadline to register for a two-day conference sponsored by the UNC School of Law’s Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity and the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy. “Wealth Inequality and the Eroding Middle Class” will be held Nov. 4-5 at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center on the UNC campus.
The conference will feature a keynote address by Robert Kuttner, the founding co-editor of The American Prospect; co-founder of the Economic Policy Institute and currently a senior distinguished fellow at Demos. He will examine increasing income inequality in the United States and globally and how this trend affects the American middle class.
The registration fee for the general public is $40; the fee for students is $20. The registration fee for attorneys seeking CLE credit is $100 (the conference has been approved for seven hours of CLE credit in North Carolina). The registration fee includes a reception on Sunday and lunch on Monday.
